Job Title: Commercial Sales Manager

Company: Standard Fence Company

Location: Denver, Colorado - must be available in-person

Summary of Position:

Standard Fence Company is seeking a Commercial Sales Manager. Standard Fence Company is one of Colorado’s largest full-line fencing companies serving the Denver metro area with professionalism and expertise since 1937. This position is full time (40 hours per week) and is required to work in-person at Standard Fence headquarters in Denver, Colorado.

The Commercial Sales Manager plays a crucial role in procuring, managing and coordinating commercial fencing projects for Standard Fence Company. This role is a great opportunity for a driven individual with preferred experience in the construction industry. The Commercial Sales Manager will be responsible for oversight and administration of all commercial project contracts and any subsequent change orders.

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and oversee commercial fencing projects from start to finish
  • Management of commercial labor crews for commercial projects
  • Responsible for communicating with project managers, companies, etc. on commercial projects

Project Management:

  • Oversee crew throughout project duration
  • Oversight and administration of all project contracts and any subsequent change orders
  • Review, interpret, and comment on the terms and conditions of contracts to reduce company exposure to risk and potential liability
  • Introduce clients to installer teams, ensure excellent customer service, complete onsite visit after install
  • Continually prospect for new customers through networking, referrals, and effective follow-up
  • Prospect local GC’s/Clients to get on bid list
  • Visit current job site to meet with GC’s Superintendents
  • Collaborate with clients, subcontractors and internal production team to ensure project success.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, and keeping clients aware of that schedule ensuring timely completion of tasks
  • Meet with prospective commercial clients to deliver a sales presentation of products and services that best fits their project requirements
  • Create fence installation estimates

Administrative:

  • Prepare and file all relevant permits, notices, etc. according to designated state guidelines.
  • Generate accurate and timely invoices for projects, including completing billing and submitting invoices in third-party customer systems.
  • Research and resolve payment discrepancies.
  • Issue Certificates of Insurance.
  • File liens when necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Proficient in reading blueprints, doing linear footage takeoffs
  • Proficient in fence computer software such as “CFS, Corner Post and Bluebeam”
  • Strong communication, organizational and time management skills
  • Managing multiple jobs at a time, communicating with multiple subcontractors to ensure a smooth process for the customer.
  • Experience in project management and sales

Additional Desired Skills:

  • Previous experience in construction, ideally fencing.
  • Knowledge of Commercial and Industrial fencing. IE high security fencing with chain link, ornamental iron and access control.
  • Familiarity with panic hardware and simplex locks
  • Knowledge of liability insurance, bonds, and lien law
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; Strong presentation and listening skills
  • Proven experience as a project coordinator or similar role in the construction industry
  • Strong knowledge of the insurance industry and how billing works

Experience

  • 3 years construction project support experience (Preferred)
  • 3 years people management experience (Preferred)
  • Minimum 2 years Contract Administration (Preferred)
  • Minimum 2 years Accounts Receivable and Collections (Preferred)

Eduction

  • High School Diploma or GED (Required)
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, construction, or related field (Preferred)
  • In lieu of the above requirements, equivalent relevant experience will be considered.

Pay

Annual Salary $80,000 - $100,000 commensurate with experience.
